Besides the large choice of cultural attractions in The Hague, Scheveningen has also got a lot to offer. Below you will find a short description of fun attractions in and around Scheveningen.

Het Circus theater
Het Circus theater is a well-known theatre in Holland. Nowadays this theatre is mostly used for large musical productions like Tarzan and Mary Poppins. After a less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Strandhotel, you will start your evening in the beautiful surroundings of the Circus Theatre.
Omniversum
A visit to the Omniversum is an experience that cannot be missed. The movies that are shown in this cinema are mostly about nature and are very spectacular. Due to the enormous domed screen, you almost feel absorbed in the film. Ask the reception for discount vouchers.
Madurodam
Madurodam is the smallest town in the Netherlands. Everything that Holland is famous for can be found here to a scale of 1:25. All the buildings, paths and people are modelled with amazing detail. Canals, decorative facades and other typical Dutch sights are fun to recognize for the real sightseer.
Sea Life Scheveningen
Sea Life Scheveningen is an aquarium on the boulevard of Scheveningen. In the underwater tunnel you will see the most impressive sharks, turtles and other fish. Sea Life Scheveningen is, especially for children, a fun day out. Ask for the 25% discount vouchers at the reception of the Strandhotel.
Beelden aan zee
In the dunes, directly behind the boulevard, you will find the museum Beelden aan Zee. This museum, established in 1994, is mainly focussed on exclusive and modern international sculpture. Don’t forget to take a look in the ‘’modern fairytale garden’’ (no entrance fee required).
Muzee Scheveningen
In Muzee Scheveningen you will get to know everything about life on the ocean. Discover how people lived on board of a ship and wonder off into the icecold darkness of the ocean. This museum is also fun for childeren.
